East Coast offers a
Safety Planning service in line with our
Company OH&S Policy and WorkCover obligations as set out below.
Policy outline:

OH&S training, education and consultation with employees.

Work design, workplace design, standard work method systems and changes including
those associated with technological change.

Emergency procedures, drills and provision of OH&S equipment, services and facilities.

Workplace inspections, evaluations, hazard identification and risk assessment.

Reporting and recording of incidents, accidents, injuries and illnesses.

Provision of OH&S information to employees, contractors and sub-contractors.
Specific Responsibilities:
Managers
Management at all levels is required to contribute to the health and safety of all persons
in the workplace by:

Developing, implementing and reviewing, in consultation with its employees,
the company's OH&S Program.

Ensuring this policy and the OHS Program is developed and effectively implemented
in their areas of control.

Supporting supervisors and hold them accountable for their specific responsibilities.
Supervisors
Each supervisor is responsible and will be held accountable for:

Taking all practical measures within their area of control.

Compliance with the OH&S Program.
-
Ensuring employees are supervised and trained to meet their OH&S program requirements.

Ensuring employees are consulted in issues that affect their health, safety and any
concerns they have are referred to management.
Employees
All employees are required to:

Co-operate with the OHS Policy and Programs.

Ensure their health and safety.
-
Ensure the health and safety of others in the workplace.
Contractors and Sub-contractors
As part of their contract, all contractors and sub-contractors engaged to perform work for this
business are required to:

Comply with the OH&S policies, procedures and programs of this company.

Observe directions on health and safety from designated officers of this company.
Failure to comply or observe a direction will be considered a breach of the contract
and sufficient grounds for termination of the contract.
